3/16/2024 0 Comments Get cpu temps in rainmeterIf you can't get the temps to show, zip up the entire Gadgets folder and post it here. All you need to do is use the Settings skin to configure the options, and edit the HWiNFO.inc file to adjust the values to match your CPU/GPU/motherboard. I will repeat again, the Gadget is working fine, but something you have done is causing all the temps to be shown as zero values. You may have commented too much out and that is why you are having issues. You only need to change the variable's values to match the HWiNFO sensor/entry IDs, and leave the values at "0x0" for sensors you don't have (like for the extra cores). Please don't comment stuff out or make changes to the. Kring, I see in your screenshot of your HWiNFO.inc file that you have commented out a bunch of variables (for all the extra cores). I get now what you are saying about CoreTemp as being an alternate to HWInfo, but I think the issue is with the gadget not HWInfo, so I would expect similar results with CoreTemp. Thanks for posting info on attachments, here's the screenshots of what I see. However probably this was just a not too lucky expression. However I understand if you don't want to install CoreTemp.Īdditionally, you don't have to add variables, but more sections, both measures and meters, to show up the temperatures of the cores which are in plus. Rainmeter has a CoreTemp built in plugin, which works well. I'm not using HWiNFO, so I can't tell anything about it, but if you install and try out CoreTemp, and it works as well, showing the temperatures of all 8 / 16 cores, the skin for sure can be made to show all those temperatures returned by the app. I don't have a website to post pictures to,is there an easier way to share pictures? I've checked every single variable one by one they were all correct except one other variable, "total CPU Usage" is 0x7000011 instead of the default of 0x7000009. I did completely wipe out everything having to do with rainmeter and Gadgets 4.1.1 and reinstalled both from scratch. I'll note that the other CPU measurements are working like usage %. So Sensor ID, Sensor Instance, Entry IDs are all a match - but no measurements display in the gadget other than a flat 0 degrees. Silver, I'm referring to your gadgets, Gadgets 4.1.1 is what I have installed (and reinstalled cleanly)Īnd HWInfo shared memory viewer has the following: I know how to add variables for additional cores (which I did), it's not that the new cores are missing, the issue is not a single core is reporting temps in the gadget that are clearly found in HWinfo. old system had 6 core, new one has 16 cores (actually 8 physical with 2x hyperthreading), but again that's not the issue. So CPU works, Drivers work, HWinfo is working. The CPU absolutely supports temps, they can be clearly seen in HWinfo sensor data, shared memory viewer with actual real-time measurements. Post screenshots of the SMV and list what your variables are set to if you are still having issues. The values from your old i7 machine are of no use, you need to redo the configuration from scratch if you have not already. Which "Gadgets" are you referring to? If you can see temps in HWiNFO and in the Shared Memory Viewer app that is included with the HWiNFO plugin, then the problem is almost certainly that you have not configured the variables with the correct Sensor ID and/or Entry IDs. let me know what I can do to help troubleshoot.īTW really appreciate these gadgets so thanks a billion for keeping these going! I deleted the skins folder and reinstalled fresh with no luck either after setting up again. for some reason it's not displaying correctly in the CPU Gadget. I am using HWinfo 5.92, latest and it does show the temps in HWinfo correctly, and with the correct variables. I triple checked all the variables but still no temps showing. Just came from the i7-8700K where it worked fine. I have the new i9-9900 and the core temps are not working across all cores.
